Don’t worry I haven’t gone full stoner hippie on you, meditation actually has been the center of a lot of scientific studies. The general consensus is that “hey ya that is good for you.” So how is it good for you? Well, in a great many ways; it has been shown to help you learn better, retain more information, decrease anxiety and depression, help break addictions and much more. For me the greatest benefit out of the list would be the learning part, and seeing as you’re on The Smarter Society site it’s probably important to you too. Thanks to the Improvement Pill youtube channel you can see a quick summary of the scientific studies done of meditation. There are books if you’re interested in learning about how to meditate like this one.
