Self-discipline is very closely tied to self-control with a few key differences, self-control is basically you stopping yourself from doing something (smoking, drinking, procrastinating etc). Self-discipline on the other hand is more focused on you doing wanting to do something, following through and getting it done sometimes in an effort to develop new better habits.
